Advances in Magnetic Resonance symposium, Ottawa, Canada
The Canadian Society for Chemistry Conference and Exhibition will be held in Ottawa, Canada, from June 15 to 19, 2025. This is Canada’s premier multidisciplinary chemistry conference. In addition to an excellent technical program, the conference has several plenary sessions and workshops. Ottawa is Canada’s capital and is located along the historic Rideau Canal and Ottawa River. There are some international flights into Ottawa, as well as frequent connections from Toronto and Montreal.
As part of this conference, we are organizing and hosting a two-day symposium entitled “Advances in Magnetic Resonance”. This symposium will bring together diverse audiences who develop and apply a wide range of magnetic resonance spectroscopies. This includes experts in solid-state NMR, solution NMR, and potentially electron paramagnetic resonance and magnetic resonance imaging. The symposium also seeks to include, beyond experts, routine practitioners of magnetic resonance methodologies with applications across the chemical, biochemical, and materials sciences. We therefore anticipate contributions from physical chemists, inorganic chemists, materials chemists, and biochemists.
Invited speakers who have already agreed to present their work include:
Claudia Avalos, New York University
Bruce Balcom, University of New Brunswick
Danielle Laurencin, ICGM, Montpellier
Lauren Marbella, Columbia University
Martine Monette, Bruker Biospin
Mathias Nilsson, University of Manchester
Yusuke Nishiyama, JEOL
Tuo Wang, Michigan State University
We invite the community to submit abstracts for oral presentations and posters. The deadline is January 30, 2025.
